Tropical Depression Imelda Bears Down On The Texas Coast


NORTHBOUND AS YOU LEAVE THE I- 20 CORRIDOR TOWARDS I-30. IMELDA IS HITTING THE TEXAS COAST. IT STARTED YESTERDAY AS A TROPICAL STORM AND AS JEFF SAID IT IS SLOWLY MOVING NORTH AS A DEPRESSION. IT IS DUMPING HEAVY AMOUNTS OF RAIN THISSERRIAS THAT ARE ALREADY PRONE TO FLOODING. Reporter: TROPICAL STORM IMELDA WEAKENED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION SINCE MAKING LANDFALL NEAR FREE PORT TUESDAY AFTERNOON. OFFICIALS WANT RESIDENTS TO KNOW THEY ARE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS. NOW WE ARE EXPECTING STREET LEVEL FLOODING. WE ENCOULD BELIEVE PEOPLE THAT THEY KNEAD TO BE ON THE STREETS, STAY HOME.
